I am petite, plus sized and hourglass figure and this dress fits great and is true to size. On my frame it shows a lot of skin (more than I would be comfortable with for work) but that is likely because of my height. My husband wants this to be the only dress I wear for date night (once again not work appropriate at least on me). The material is kind of smooth and kind of heavy but not too heavy. I'd say it is just right. I bought black and blue and will likely buy more colors just to add variety.
