I needed a below-the-knee semi formal black dress last minute. This fits the bill! It hits at the end of my ankle. I ordered the large just in case (I’m 6’2” and 155 pounds) and it was perfect. I think they have since made the waistband elastic. My only concern is I think it is supposed to be an off-the-shoulder dress, so we’ll see how it stays put over the shoulders!
